Our Mission

Our Team

Tara

I began my career in Nepal's tourism industry in 2009 and have built extensive experience in adventure tourism, trekking, and community-based travel. Over the years, I have worked with people from around the world, promoting Nepal's natural beauty while creating meaningful travel experiences.

In 2017, I founded my own travel and trekking company with the vision of making Nepal's incredible trekking routes and adventure activities accessible to travelers while contributing to the sustainable growth of Nepal's tourism industry.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, I joined GVI Nepal as a Program Manager, where I focused on empowering women through education and life skills programs, while also working with community schools to improve educational opportunities for local children. This experience strengthened my belief that tourism can be a powerful tool for creating positive social change.

Today, I am continuing this mission through Sajha Nepal, a community-focused initiative dedicated to supporting local communities, promoting responsible tourism, and creating sustainable opportunities through education, adventure, and cultural exchange.

My husband shares the same passion for community development, travel, and adventure. Together, we are committed to building Sajha Nepal as an organization that connects people, empowers communities, and showcases the best of Nepal through meaningful and responsible tourism experiences.
